Presentation 3 - Goodnight

Howdy,

This was our final presentation in the Public LAB workshop. The goal of our workshop was met. The play has been developed to its fullest and is in production fighting shape.

I will update you on any news regarding the play. I hope you enjoyed the show - and the development process. It is now time to hear your comments.

It has been an honor.

Goodnight,

Padraic

Can't wait to see the full production of Sweet Storm. Wait, there is going to be a full production, right?

I am writing this still mesmerized by the performance of Sweet Storm I got to see this past Saturday night. I'd had the privilege of reading the play a while ago and even though I knew what would be happening, I found myself focusing on what I was seeing unfold in front of me, not anything that I had read. The words that Scott had so beautifully written were brought to life in such an amazing way by Jaime and Eric. I also loved the intimacy of the set. There was just a "sweetness" to the entire performance. This was my first trip to NYC and I will remember all of the sights and sounds with great fondness, but it was being able to see the performance of Sweet Storm that was my reason for going in the first place, and it is the reason that my trip was made complete.
Thank you to everyone involved in the production for the finest of performances. I can only hope that this "Storm" does not stop churning...

I was fortunate enough to have seen the first public reading of this beautiful piece, and thrilled to see it so gorgeously executed last week onstage. This is a gorgeous and fairly simple play, and it has a different feel from some of the other great LAB productions I've seen. The simple beauty of the words that Scott uses to unfold his play make this such a special show, and I hope that the theater-going public is lucky enough to see a longer, even more fully developed production of this beautiful work. Scott is a unique voice for the LAB, and I hope we get to see and hear his work again in a full production. (And HUGE kudos to Mr. Lillis for his gorgeous and simple direction, and to the talented cast for their beautiful and thoughtful work!)

A HUGE fan (obviously!) --
