What a beautiful, unpretentiously EPIC, yet smart, sad, devilishly ironic, questioning play. I totally mean all this. The only 2-hander I've seen in ages that really internally justifies BEING a 2-hander. The title makes such sad sense but only in the last moments. It surprised me. Lots of humor, and genuine realism, not TV realism. She HAD to marry him, to secure the future that they will never have. Non-patronizing truly 3D portrayal of a character with a disability that totally kicks IMMORTAL BELOVED's butt. Get this a long run now! PS: great little character detail that he almost forgets to take his socks off. He WOULD almost forget, and would finally remember. :)

PS for Scott: I guessed wrong about what the era was. Maybe that needs clarification? But I'm sure that had it been a full production, costumes & technology (the make of radio) would have made it clear. Hope this is helpful.
